Congratulations you are now on your way to becoming a HICH Moderator!
Please take the time to read and understand this document because being a HICH Moderator comes with a lot of responsibility.
HICH Moderators play a crucial role in helping us improve the quality of our content.
Your job as a Moderator is to carefully and thoughtfully grade content, ensuring the best content is rewarded and promoted, and the worst content is removed or hidden.
Moderators should not favor one user or group of users over another. They should apply the rules consistently and evenly to everyone.
Moderators should treat all users with respect, even if they disagree with them. They should avoid using personal attacks or insults.
Moderators should be responsive to user reports, questions and concerns. They should take appropriate action to address problems and to protect users. For example, if a new user creates an invalid poll, you can message them to explain why the poll is invalid and how they can improve it.
Don't wait for problems to arise before you take action. Be on the lookout for potential problems, and take steps to prevent them.
Moderating is a complex task, and there is always more to learn. Be open to feedback from users and from other moderators.
Be mindful of the impact your posts and comments can have on the community, and strive to be exemplary in all your interactions.
Breaking the rules or using exploits is harmful to the community as a whole. It gives unfair advantages to those who use them, and it ruins the app for everyone else. If you see someone exploiting or breaking the rules, you should report them. This is the best way to help keep the app fair and fun for everyone.
Being a HICH moderator is a privilege but also a great responsibility. It's not for everyone, and if you're not selected, don't be discouraged! There are many other ways to contribute to the community, such as becoming a Pollster or Influencer.
Moderators are able to grade our posts 1 , 2 , 3 , and 4 .
1 is the lowest grade and 4 is the highest grade that users can give. It is possible to achieve a 5 grade on a post, but 5 grades are only awarded by HICH. We also have a Report feature for posts that are invalid or illegal.
Please read our grading criteria carefully before you attempt to grade posts:
When grading polls, pay attention to the following:
This means that it should not compare or rate things that cannot be compared, have two identical images, have incorrectly placed tags, or have unclear voting options. It is important to report these polls.
Illegal polls promote illegal conduct, and spam polls are repetitive, annoying, or advertise deceptive products. It is important to report these polls.
For example, comparing shoes to cars does not make much sense.
The title and question should be clear and descriptive, without a lot of emojis and links.
The images should be nicely cropped, clear, and clearly show the subjects that are being compared or graded.
Polls that are interesting to most people are better than polls that are only interesting to a small group of people.
Does the person who made it care about the results?
This is the most important criteria, yet hardest to explain, there are few examples of such polls:
You'll be rewarded with coins for grading posts. The reward you will receive depends on your Moderator level; it will increase as you progress to higher levels.
It depends on why you failed. If you did your best but you just didn't grade enough posts correctly, then we'll give you up to three chances to try again.
However, if we notice that you are unfairly giving high grades to particular users whose posts do not deserve high grades, we may ban you from ever trying to become a moderator again.
Failing to read and follow our guidelines, or giving your friends - or particular users - unfairly high grades, are the main two reasons why you would be rejected.
Be fair, reward original, creative polls, downgrade repetitive, boring content... But seriusly read the rules if you want to pass the moderator rewiew
